A Pepsi kind of weekend

We had a wonderful weekend this past weekend! We were dog-sitting for some friends of ours, who had a white poodle named Pepsi. They went on a “baby moon” before their first baby comes in a couple months so we watched Pepsi for them. It was so much fun! Pepsi came over on Friday and I got to play with him all day while Brett went to work.

Sunday, we took him for a long walk before church, and he slept the whole time we were gone! He was pretty sleepy that day but we still managed to play.

We skyped with all our family to show off our borrowed cute little puppy for the weekend.

Monday was our last day with little Pepsi. We had so much fun. He wanted to snuggle me all day,

and eat his bone,

and curl up in a little ball and fall asleep in my lap.

Brett played with Pepsi during his lunch break.

Viva Las Vegas!

Brett and I went to Las Vegas back in September for a work convention Brett had. I got to tag along and it was so fun. We stayed at the Aria hotel for 3 days. Brett had to work most of the day, but he registered me for the conference so I met up with him for most meals. This is where Brett was most of the time:

But my days were wonderful. I mostly called family, wrote in my journal, read by the pool (and ordered a soda to be delivered while I was there! awesome!)

and took pictures. We met up with a friend of ours from BYU, Abigail Burden. It was so much fun to get together and catch up on the last couple years. We had so much fun!

On our last night there we went to a work-sponsored club night. It was awesome. When we walked in, there was this insane violinist rocking out to rock/pop songs. It was totally not what I was expecting to see from a violinist, but it was really cool. She was amazing so we had fun watching her perform

After the violinist/dj combo ended, some rappers came on and they were super lame so we left. On our last day there, Brett’s conference ended a bit early so we walked around the Strip until we had to go to the airport. We saw some cool things:

Overall, it was a great trip. Brett had fun at his convention, I had fun reading by the pool and shopping and we both had fun seeing Abby and exploring Vegas.

I’m DONE!

Well folks, I did it. I finished my bachelor’s degree. I don’t have any more classes to take, I don’t have any more credits to transfer and most importantly, I don’t have any more tests to take!!! Huzzah! All I need to do now is apply for graduation and wait for my diploma. :D This BYU girl is finished. Some highlights of my BYU experience:

I stayed in the Chipman Hall dorm my freshman year, fall 2006. It was wonderful. I had an amazing roommate and we had a great time together.

Brett lived 2 blocks away from my dorm so we got together often. Our relationship really grew into love my freshman year, which was totally surprising to me. I didn’t expect to fall in love so young, but I was too captivated by Brett. I also saw how happy and in love my parents were and I wanted to experience love like that. I just didn’t think it would happen so soon! Here we are in our early dating days:
