General Conference April 2009

Brett and I were blessed to find cheap flights for conference weekend. We joined my Dad, Mom, brother Seth and his wife Mery and my sister Carmen in Utah for the conference. Seth & Mery hosted everyone at their one bedroom apartment. Luckily, it was spacious and they had everything we needed for our stay but I am glad to be back to sharing one bathroom with only Brett. :) . We had so much fun in Utah.

We got in late Friday night and just crashed at Seth & Mery’s place. Saturday, we watched all of the sessions of conference on Seth & Mery’s huge TV on their huge couch. It fit all of us comfortably! We went to a restaurant to eat in between sessions, where Seth & Mery put the napkins on their heads like hats.

Even with napkins on their heads, they still look cute!

After the 2nd session of conference, the boys went to Priesthood looking handsome as could be.

The girls went shopping while the boys were at Priesthood but we met them for ice cream afterwards.

Sunday, we had the morning session tickets at the conference center so we enjoyed conference there. Sunday afternoon, we were back at Seth & Mery’s for the final session of conference.

Monday, we were supposed to fly home early in the morning and go straight to work from there, but when we looked at our tickets, we realized that we booked our return flight on Tuesday instead. We booked the tickets so long ago that neither of us remembered that until we saw our flight plans. So we got an extra day in Utah with the family!

Brett had to work from Seth & Mery’s apartment while Seth & Mery were at work so Dad, Mom, Carmen and I went to Temple Square. We walked around and had fun seeing everything there and of course, we took pictures.

Then, we went to the conference building, where we started having fun with the many door entries!

Carmen is 15 turning 16 this July. She can't wait, but Mom wants her to stay 15. haha!

After my jumping picture, everyone else wanted to give it a try. We went across the street from the Conference center, where they are building a Church History Library set to open this year for the pictures.

Dad was pretty excited about the church history library!

We had such a great time in Utah for conference. Brett and I flew home the next day early in the morning and went straight to work from the airport. We’re glad we were able to spend the weekend in Utah with family.
